A Little Magic at Cliff at Lyons Mia and Dans Luxury Wedding
Some weddings stay with you long after the last flower has been placed, the candles have burned down and the dancing has begun.
Mia and Dan's wedding at the beautiful Cliff at Lyons in County Kildare was one of those weddings.
A celebration of love, individuality and effortless elegance, where romantic flowers met contemporary styling, unexpected textures and just a little touch of magic.
And, of course, a few disco balls thrown in for good measure.
Because who says luxury weddings have to play by the rules?
A Bride With a Vision
When Mia first came to us at Anna May Floristry, almost a year before her wedding, one thing was immediately clear.
She knew exactly what she wanted.
She had a vision, a feeling and a beautiful sense of how she wanted her wedding day to look.
And we absolutely loved it.
There is something so special about working with a bride who knows her own style. Someone who isn't afraid to embrace the unexpected, mix a little romance with a little drama and create a wedding that feels entirely her own.
Mia brought the vision.
We brought the flowers, the creativity and that little bit of unmistakable Anna May magic.
And what a joy it was to bring it all together
Not Your Ordinary Wedding Flowers
From the very beginning, we knew Mia's wedding flowers were going to be something special.
We embraced a wonderfully distinctive palette of soft blush, delicate greens, creamy ivory and the most delicious touches of deep burgundy.
Elegant calla lilies brought beautiful lines and movement, while sculptural anthuriums introduced a contemporary edge.
Soft hydrangeas added romance and fullness, with trailing green amaranthus bringing an unexpected, almost whimsical quality.
Together, the flowers created something beautifully balanced.
Soft but striking. Romantic but modern. Elegant without being predictable.
Every stem had its place, every texture brought something different, and every arrangement was designed to feel effortlessly beautiful rather than overly structured.
Exactly the kind of luxury wedding floristry we adore.
A Bridal Bouquet Worth Remembering
Now, can we talk about Mia's bridal bouquet?
Because this one really was a little work of art.
Designed to complement her beautiful gown, the bouquet brought together graceful calla lilies, blush anthuriums, rich burgundy tones and delicate trailing amaranthus.
Rather than creating a traditional rounded bouquet, we embraced an organic, flowing silhouette with beautiful movement and a little unexpected drama.
It felt almost sculptural.
And against the clean, elegant lines of Mia's wedding dress?
Simply breathtaking.
It was romantic without being traditional, luxurious without feeling overly formal and wonderfully expressive.
Unmistakably Anna May, but most importantly, unmistakably Mia.
The Romance of Cliff at Lyons
Nestled in the beautiful Kildare countryside, Cliff at Lyons is one of those wedding venues that seems to have a little magic of its own.
From its characterful stone buildings and romantic gardens to its wonderfully atmospheric ceremony and reception spaces, every corner feels like something from a storybook.
For a wedding florist, it's an absolute dream.
For Mia and Dan's celebration, we wanted the flowers to complement the natural beauty of the venue while bringing something fresh and unexpected to the surroundings.
The ceremony florals were designed with an airy, organic quality, allowing the beautiful setting to shine through.
Delicate flowers, graceful shapes and thoughtful placement created a feeling of understated luxury.
Nothing overly formal. Nothing too perfect.
Just beautiful flowers, thoughtfully designed, in a truly gorgeous setting.
Beautiful Tables, Candlelight and a Little Drama
As the celebrations moved into the reception, the floral story continued.
The tables were dressed with a beautiful mix of soft hydrangeas, sculptural anthuriums, graceful calla lilies and rich burgundy accents.
Individual stems brought an elegant, contemporary feel, while fuller arrangements added romance and softness.
Candlelight introduced that gorgeous warm glow that makes a wedding reception feel so inviting.
And with the beautiful surroundings of Cliff at Lyons as our backdrop, the whole atmosphere felt wonderfully intimate and luxurious.
We love that luxury wedding flowers don't always have to mean enormous arrangements.
Sometimes it's a perfectly placed stem, an unexpected colour combination or a beautiful little detail that makes the biggest impression.
And Mia's wedding had those moments in abundance.
A Little Disco Never Hurt Anyone
And then there were the disco balls.
Because why shouldn't a romantic Irish wedding have a little sparkle?
One of our favourite things about Mia's vision was that she wasn't afraid to mix elegance with fun.
There was romance, there was sophistication, and there was a wonderfully playful side to the celebration.
For us, that's what makes a wedding memorable.
Not following every tradition or trying to recreate something you've seen a hundred times before.
But creating a day that feels completely and unapologetically yours.
Beautiful flowers and a little disco magic? We are absolutely here for it.
The Magic Is in the Details
At Anna May Floristry, we believe the most memorable weddings are the ones where every little detail feels connected.
From the bridal bouquet to the reception tables, the colours, textures and floral shapes should tell one beautiful story.
Not necessarily matching perfectly, but working together effortlessly.
Mia's wedding was a lovely example of that philosophy.
The sculptural flowers, romantic colours, trailing greenery and softly glowing candles created a distinctive look that carried beautifully throughout the celebration.
Nothing was ordinary.
Yet everything felt wonderfully natural.
And that, for us, is where the magic happens.
For the Love of Flowers, and the Stories Behind Them
One of the things we treasure most about being wedding florists is the trust our couples place in us.
Mia came to us with a clear vision almost a year before her wedding.
She knew what she loved, what mattered to her and how she wanted her day to feel.
Being invited to take those ideas and turn them into something beautiful is a privilege we never take for granted.
We brought our creativity, our experience and our love of beautiful, slightly unexpected floral design.
Mia brought the vision.
And together, we created a little magic.
To Mia and Dan, thank you for trusting Anna May Floristry to be part of your beautiful day.
It was an absolute joy.
Big thank you to Ivana Patarcic for her amazing work capturing the day so beautifully!
