A Romantic Summer Wedding at The Station House Hotel Siofras Story
An Irish bride, a wedding planned from across the Atlantic, and a beautiful summer celebration filled with flowers, colour and a little Anna May magic.
Some weddings stay with you long after the last flower has been placed. Síofra's beautiful summer wedding at The Station House Hotel in Kilmessan, County Meath, on 3rd July 2025, was certainly one of those.
And the loveliest part? It all began with a recommendation from a friend.
From America to Ireland, With Love
Living in the United States but returning home to Ireland to celebrate her wedding, Síofra reached out to Anna May Floristry after a friend recommended us.
Planning a wedding from overseas comes with its own little challenges, particularly when it comes to choosing the people who will bring your vision to life.
But from our very first conversations, Síofra was an absolute dream to work with.
She had a beautiful vision for her wedding flowers, and she trusted us to interpret it, bringing together colour, texture and movement in a way that felt romantic, natural and effortlessly elegant.
For a floral designer, that kind of trust is everything.
The Flowers: Romantic, Playful & Beautifully Untamed
Soft ivory and blush garden-style roses met delicate peach tones, pretty lilac scabiosa and vibrant pink dahlias, with little touches of seasonal flowers woven throughout.
Fresh, dancing foliage gave every arrangement a beautiful sense of movement, creating that wonderfully relaxed, just-gathered-from-the-garden feeling.
The result was romantic without being overly traditional, colourful without feeling overpowering, and full of the little details that make wedding flowers feel truly personal.
Wild, whimsical and unmistakably Anna May.
Síofra's bridal bouquet was the heart of the floral story. A gorgeous gathering of roses, dahlias and delicate seasonal blooms, designed to feel abundant, beautifully textured and effortlessly natural.
Her bridesmaids carried coordinating floral posies, bringing the whole look together while allowing each arrangement to have its own character.
For the ceremony, we created a lush, garden-inspired floral arrangement with beautiful roses, seasonal flowers, fresh foliage and elegant taper candles, carrying the same romantic colour palette into the celebrations.
A Little Love for The Station House Hotel
What a gorgeous setting for a summer wedding.
Nestled among beautiful gardens in the Meath countryside, The Station House Hotel has a wonderfully intimate, romantic atmosphere.
Its character, surrounding greenery and beautiful spaces provided the perfect backdrop for Síofra's wedding flowers.
And we have to give a special mention to the team at The Station House Hotel.
They were absolutely fantastic to work alongside — welcoming, helpful and genuinely lovely throughout. When everyone behind the scenes works so well together, it makes the day that little bit more special.
It's a venue we would be delighted to return to.
The Beauty of Being Trusted
One of the things we treasure most about wedding floristry is the relationships we build with our couples.
For Síofra, planning from America meant placing her trust in a florist back home in Ireland.
For us, it was an opportunity to take her ideas, understand what mattered to her and create something that felt completely her own.
And what a bride she was.
Relaxed, lovely to work with and happy to let us do what we love most — create beautiful flowers.
Thank you, Síofra, for trusting Anna May with such a special part of your wedding day. It was an absolute pleasure.
