How to Keep Your Flowers Fresh During the Dublin Heatwave

💧 Keep the Water Fresh

Flowers get thirsty in warm weather.

Check the vase every day and top up with fresh, cool water. If the water starts to look cloudy, empty the vase, give it a quick wash and refill with fresh water.

✂️ Recut the Stems

Every couple of days, trim around 1–2cm off each stem at an angle.

This helps your flowers absorb water more efficiently and keeps them looking fresher for longer.

🌿 Use the Flower Food

Don't throw away the little sachet!

Flower food feeds your blooms while helping to keep bacteria at bay—one of the biggest causes of flowers fading too quickly.
